Pitch Reflection:
Are there any areas of the presentation you would like to give any more detail on?
I thought throughout my whole presentation I went into full detail about every aspect on each slide, however, I feel as if I could of added clips of examples of maybe how I would like my music video to look, or a clip from the film 'Taken' as it relate backs to my whole idea of the woman taking the man hostage... but, I feel as if if I was to add videos then the time limit would go over. I feel I gave a clear what/why explanation on each slide so my audience knew exactly what I wanted to do and for them to not get confused.
What did your audience identify as the strengths of your music video idea?
The audience hadn't asked a lot of questions which I feel was a good sign as it shows I went into full detail and that they understood a majority of everything I was trying to pitch to the class. Quite a few people have said that my idea is unique and original as the twist is a complete contradiction to the jolly up-beat song that it is, which is good as it shows i've thought more outside the box than just the usual 'confused feelings' and only showing how the boy and girl feels on each perspective which I thought was boring and repetitive. The audience liked how I was subliminally going to show how the girl was slightly crazy at the very start of the video as i'm going to make her walk out of a mental home like a normal person and walk through alley ways to give the target audience the idea of there being something odd about the girl and that she's hiding something that she shouldn't be. They had also said that I was more or less prepared with things as I know who i'm using for my video, where i'm going to film, the exact conventions i'm going to use, and the props that i'm going to use.
What did your audience identify as areas for improvement and what changes will you make to your music video concept based on feedback you received?
I didn't receive any negative feedback for my actual music video idea. Some asked questions, one being if I was going to complete all my filming in 6 days which I have now changed to at least 10 days at the most. Another question being, if I was going to involve lip syncing which I am e.g. when the girl is walking home through the alley ways, I will get her to lip sync directly to the camera. Another question being, where I was going to film in London and I said that I wasn't actually going to film in central London, just the area I live in which is Chadwell Heath, but now I have decided that I might film a bit in London where it could show when she was normal with the boy and they're on a date. I may film them on the London Eye or near the River Thames as it's romantic and it shows the highlight of their relationship at that moment of time, and then the contrast as to where she became crazy and got confused with her feelings.
